The naming of the Tao Tea Set is inspired by the famous book “Peach Blossom Spring” (桃花源記) by Tao Yuanming (陶淵明), a poet of the Jin Dynasty, alluding to a hidden paradise of creation that can be enjoyed alone or shared with others, much like a tea ceremony. Throughout the set, there is also a repeated faceting motif and a use of a bronze glaze that alludes to other materials traditionally used to create components of a Chinese tea set, such as bamboo or metals.
